IRG started in 1991 with a single imaging center in Western Pennsylvania and has grown to multiple locations throughout Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.

The mission of IRG is a simple dedication to providing quality service and patient care. This is being accomplished with our facilities keeping pace with technological changes to provide the most advanced, independent, diagnostic centers in the region.

Many steps have been taken over the years to insure that IRG continues to provide the same quality enhancement of services to physicians as well.

IRG is proud to be the only independent facilities in Western Pennsylvania to be approved by JCAHO, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Throughout the industry, JCAHO is recognized as the gold standard for quality in health care.

All MRI units are accredited by the American College of Radiology.

IRG has developed a web server that allows twenty four hour access for physicians. High quality images and reports can be viewed on-line within minutes of the completion of an exam.

The IRG state-of-the-art PACS system allows our board-certified radiologists to monitor all exams and increases efficiency.

Additionally, our 3D Workstation allows Radiologists to view high quality images in a multiplane mode for better interpretation.

IRG is proud to staff Board Certified Radiologists and Technologists.

Most importantly, IRG recognizes the importance of prompt, professional service. Same day or next day appointments are available via a telephone call to our toll free number, or online. Weekend and evening hours are available, and emergencies can be accommodated.

Fast turnaround of results in twenty four to thirty six hours are the hallmark of the exemplary service IRG provides to patients and physicians alike.

Our Cranberry, North Hills, and Monroeville locations are a service of Butler Memorial Hospital.
